Are you chasing your purpose? Well – stop! Because frankly, it ain’t going to get you anywhere fast.

In certain circles there seems to be a culture of searching for purpose rather than making a plan and taking action. And the idea that if you are not clear on your life purpose you and/or your business won’t amount to much. Frankly, that’s just not true and what’s worse it might stop you dead in your tracks and keep you chasing for that seemingly illusive thing called purpose.

Don’t get me wrong: knowing your purpose can be a powerful thing. There is no doubt that there are people in this world who are driven by something larger than themselves that simply seems to propel them forward in a rocket like fashion. Good for them!

But for some of us…well, let’s just say it’s not that clear cut. Here’s the thing: that is fine, too! I’m giving you permission to live your life to the full and build a great business without having an all empowering, all over-powering and all-consuming purpose. There you are! You’re free! (lol)

To say it with Oscar Wilde: ““Looking good and dressing well is a necessity. Having a purpose in life is not.”

In the fantastic Firestarter Sessions, Danielle Laporte writes that ‘becoming you’ is all the purpose you need. Whether you agree or disagree, whether you are one of the people with a BIG purpose or not, you still need a plan!

Making a detailed plan and taking action on it is what will move your life and business forward. So if you have been procrastinating because you were chasing that purpose…sit down make a plan today!

What are your thoughts?
